PEAR DECK #6

What is Pear Deck?

Instructional Technology Resources / Pear Deck (K-12)

Pear Deck is a platform for converting presentations and lectures into interactive learning materials. Pear Deck operates in the following manner: To begin, ensure that the Pear Deck plugin is installed on your Google Drive or OneDrive. Then, launch your Slides or PowerPoint presentation and use Pear Deck's design features. It's really great to be able to add a variety of question kinds, such as multiple choice, open ended, draggable questions, and more. You may also create interactive presentations using Pear Deck's pre-made templates. The most crucial aspect of Collaboration is that after your presentation is complete, you may deliver it to the entire class. Students can join the session with a unique access code from any device with a web browser. You may even assign it as homework so that students can work at their own leisure.

How to Present a Pear Deck

The feedback section is another feature. Teachers may use their laptops to inspect each deck, monitor students' progress, and give immediate feedback. As teachers, we can select specific students' responses to share with the whole class or to show the entire class's responses. In short, it makes these responses visible to the entire class. Students' responses are anonymous, only teachers have access to identifiable information. We teachers can also lock students' screens and prevent them from editing their answers.
